Southern Girls…

Southern Girls

A Southern Girl is a girl who knows full and well that she can open a door for herself but prefers for the gentleman to do it because it demonstrates a sense of respect. We know how to make sweet tea and grits while telling you about any football team in the SEC. We pick our battles and fight with the heart of a pit bull while still maintaining grace and elegance. Our Mystique is that of a soft-spoken, mild-mannered southern bell who could direct an army, loves her momma and will always be daddy’s little girl

Dallas

So this is my friend KK (She is who I am going visit in Dallas). She made me laugh last night by sending me a list of things we are going to do while I am in Dallas. I’m pretty sure the two of us need our own reality TV show. It could be the adventures of Brei and KK. I think people would tune in just to see what sort of trouble we get into.
The show could be a little about cooking, well eating to be exact. (Her grandpa is Tony Chachere). A lot about traveling and football. Throw some fashion in there and we are all set. I am sure KK would make sure everyone was exposed to a little cajun music as well!
Maybe I’ll get this little reality show of the ground this weekend.

Oh What a Night

What a beautiful view of the Mississippi River Bridge in Baton Rouge. Amazing night during Mardi Gras. Sometimes you just have to stop and enjoy the little things. The amazing views, the good friends, and the great memories.

A great story in my old college news paper about one of my, if not my favorite band on the planet! If you haven’t already purchased tickets to one od their shows you should! It is always an amazing time.

I just wanted to share a few sights from my weekend trip to New Orleans. it never ceases to amaze me the wonderful colors and sights that I see in this wonderful city. If you could only hear the sounds coming out of these great musicians on the street. If you ever get a chance visit and soak up the gumbo that is New Orleans.

New Orleans, Louisiana

For those of us lucky enough to have come of age in New Orleans–even more than for the tourist who falls for her instantly–the decadent majesty of the city is like a forbidden love. You want desperately to explain the depths of your enchantment, but you know in your heart that others will acknowledge it merely as an easy infatuation or a passing fling… How could they ever understand your love for a city in which life itself is an art form and the poorest, least privileged inhabitant a knowledgeable artist?

Fashion Don’t

The school board in town seems to be getting "behind" the anti-baggy pants movement. I thought this was really funny that they would take a billboard out!
