Tonight I feel like my whole body is made out of memories. I’m a mix-tape, a cassette that’s been rewound so many times you can hear the fingerprints smudged on the tape.

Me- the ever sentimental saver of all things. I’m learning (though not easily) that you have to be able to let things go. If I can’t learn I’ll spend my whole life hurting, and that after all, is no life at all.
When someone invites you over for dinner, you don’t bring leftovers. That would be rude. So how come people bring their past relationship baggage into their relationships? That’s no different than bringing LEFTOVERS!
I would spend time thinking about you and I didn’t even know your name yet.
If you are single do you do that? or if you are married did you do that before you were ever introduced to your significant other?
As a joke on my recent trip to New Orleans I went to a tarot card reader. He proceeded to tell me that I have an ex boyfriend that I still talk to that has fairly light features and I have someone else in my life that has dark features who will be competing for me. Supposedly the dark features wins. Yeah we shall see. Anyway, this quote reminds me of that because I wonder all the time about that future person.
“Should’ve known you’d bring me heartache…
….So you’re gone and i’m haunted
And i bet you are just fine
Did i make it that easy to walk
Right in and out of my life?…”
A Fine Frenzy
“For those of us lucky enough to have come of age in New Orleans–even more than for the tourist who falls for her instantly–the decadent majesty of the city is like a forbidden love. You want desperately to explain the depths of your enchantment, but you know in your heart that others will acknowledge it merely as an easy infatuation or a passing fling… How could they ever understand your love for a city in which life itself is an art form and the poorest, least privileged inhabitant a knowledgeable artist?

“A fat man, trying to squeeze through a narrow chimney, and I taunt him with Oreos and whole milk.”
This is how I feel about Travel which I love to do. I love the feel of walking into a new city and knowing there is so much out there to learn. So many people out there to meet that will teach you something new about yourself.
Traveling is like flirting with life; It’s like saying “I would stay and love you, but I have to go; this is my station.”
Helpful Love Hint for all my young Galindas out there: if you have to call another girl to find out where your boyfriend is, he’s not worth the 90 seconds off the life of your cell phone battery, much less whatever time he’s taking up in your existence.
